This cake channels all the cinnamon bun flavors in a delicious layer cake. The cream cheese frosting takes it over the top in the yum department. This cake is easy & always impressive.

Cinnamon Bun Cake
3/4 cup softened butter
1.5 cups sugar
5 eggs
1.5 cups plain greek yoghurt
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
1.5 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup heavy cream
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting
4 sticks softened butter
2 blocks cream cheese
3-4 cups powdered sugar (depending how sweet you like it)
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 & grease 3 cake pans. In a stand mixer cream the butter and sugar together until light & fluffy. Add in eggs, greek yoghurt & vanilla. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon & nutmeg. Rotate adding in the flour mixture & the heavy cream to the mixer until all combined. Pour into cake pans evenly (I like to use a measuring cup to ensure even distribution) & bake for 30 minutes.
Allow cakes to fully cool before frosting. Generally I leave them overnight to completely chill. To make the frosting, combine all ingredients together in a stand mixer & adjust to taste. I prefer a super cream cheesy frosting that is less sweet, but it can totally be adjusted to your preference.
Optional, mix powdered sugar & cinnamon together & dust the top for some extra oomph!
