These are an elevated version of typical krispie treats. The brown butter gives them a depth of flavor & the sprinkles just make them super fun.
Brown Butter Funfetti Krispie Treats
1 box Rice Krispie cereal
2 sticks butter
1 bag mini marshmallows
1 cup sprinkles
1 tbsp vanilla
Dash of salt
Begin by lining your casserole dish with tin foil & then spraying the foil. In a large pot, melt butter until nutty & brown (keep an eye, you do NOT want this burned. Just browned!). Add marshmallows in and mix together until melted and fluffy. Add vanilla & a dash of salt. Take off heat & pour in krispie cereal and mix mix mix. Add in the sprinkles and fold quickly. Pour into your prepared dish & press down until set. These set fast so you need to move fast. Place in fridge & let cool. Slice & serve (I like to top with additional sprinkles)! :)
